Rayne's Mason Menard to defend title
Rayne’s Mason Menard’s climb to the top of the lightweight ranks has been quick after a pair of nationally televised knockout victories in the last six months.
His last fight was a ninth round knockout of Bahodir Mamadjonov in August which earned him the WBO NABO lightweight title and also spiralled him to No. 6 in the USA lightweight rankings.
Menard will return to his home state and defend his mewly earned title tonight (Thursday, Oct. 27) when he takes on Emiliano “Pac Man” Garcia in a 10-round main event at The Double Tree by HIlton in Lafayette.
Menard enters the bout with a record of 32-1 with 24 of thos victories coming by way of knockout.
Garcia, fighting out of Argentina, is 16-1 with 13 knockouts.
