Acadia Parish private and parochial schools are planning on starting school this month (varied start dates) and, to date, all are reporting they will not be pushing their start dates back.
Police jurors wanted input from the public – specifically, from parish crawfish farmers – before they authorized aerial spraying for mosquitoes in Acadia.
Acadia Parish School Board voted Thursday night to delay the start date of public schools until Sept. 8.
Love of Christ Baptist Church in Crowley will be holding a clothing drive during the months of August and September.
Donations of all types and sizes of clothing will be welcomed.
